Paul Church

Paul leads Connect’s health team and is a Board Director of the agency. He is a highly experienced political consultant with a strong track record of creating award-winning, issues-led campaigns, designing and implementing successful strategies and providing senior counsel to clients to meet their policy objectives, raise profiles and bring about positive change.

 

He has extensive experience across national, regional and local government, having served as Chief of Staff to a Government Minister, Adviser to a current Senior Cabinet Minister and as an elected councillor, holding executive roles in the education, health and equalities portfolios.

James Harris

James advises and support clients across the Health, Education and Transport sectors.


He also provides the secretariat a number of All-Party Parliamentary Group including on T Levels and Healthcare Infrastructure.


Prior to joining Connect, James was Chief of Staff for a Conservative MP. During his time in Westminster he worked on campaigns including for Alcohol Duty reform and improved Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging infrastructure.

Robert Fraser

Robert is an Account Executive in Connect’s Health and Education Team. He provides intelligence, insights and political analysis for a range of clients across Connect, as well as supporting the work of various All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs).

Prior to joining Connect, Robert worked in a variety of management and commercial planning roles at the UK’s largest retailer, Tesco, notably supporting teams across the business to implement HFSS health legislation. He has previously worked with local authorities to deliver Scottish Parliament and local elections and has led a student outreach program to promote higher education.

Robert is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh, having gained a First Class degree in International Relations (MA).

Malcolm Clarke

Malcolm is an Account Manager at Connect, working remotely from the North East in County Durham. Malcolm has worked for Connect since March 2021 following twelve years working in politics.   

He spent seven years working as a Senior Parliamentary Assistant for North West Durham’s MP, Pat Glass, between 2010 and 2017 and gained his own experience as an elected councillor serving firstly as a parish councillor between 2011 and 2013 and then county councillor for Durham County Council between 2017 and 2021.  

Whilst a member of Durham County Council Malcolm was elected as Chairman of the Economy and Enterprise Overview and Scrutiny Committee and sat on the council’s Management Board. He also served on the committee of councillors overseeing the delivery of a new community hospital in Shotley Bridge, Consett.
